Champagne Strawberries and Cream

Go outside. Breath in the clean fresh air and let the sun shine on your skin.

Well, that is what I have been doing for the last week. Only 3 days of School and then a lovely trip to the west coast of ireland with almost my whole year, it was beautiful.
Almost got a little bit burned today which is...for Ireland....too weird. Cleaned up my soul, listened to music, went shopping and constantly looked forward to the end of the week. Easter holidays, you are much needed.
Even though its not gonna be the annual trip to Tuscany with my family this time...i cannot wait to see my friends, whip the cream, eat the strawberries and get drunk in the field at 11 AM.

I miss Aoife. I miss Raya.

Chai Tea

So, us fruitcakes at BDBPR have just discovered Chai Tea!
My oh my.
It is incredible, possibly my new second favourite tea! After y'know, traditional classic irish tea with milk. No sugar, please and thank you.
It's like black tea, but with that extra umph. And it's lovely with milk, which gives it an advantage over all those other fruity and herbal teas.
So yeah, no angsty/drunken/ranting post this time, just some nice Chai Tea ♥.
Aoife.

Don't know why you say goodbye I say hello

So, a proper post as promised!
I spent the last two nights at Samira's, we just chilled and ate pizza and saw a friend, it was nice just to relax in good company. Then on Saturday we went into town (Dublin city centre) to see some friends that i have not seen for far, far too long. Then we unexpectedly ran into some of our other friends who were handing out flyers for their band's upcoming gig, they're called Out Of Nowhere and you can check them out here, some seriously talented dudes! So anyway, Samira and I went along with them to help hand out flyers and hang out. It was great fun and we had been looking for something to do that night since i hadn't gone out in aaaaages and was pretty starved party-wise, so Raf told us to come along to this house party that was on later.
So eventually Samira and I get there but as it happened we all got kicked out within about 20 minutes of us getting there, so we all wandered around just having a laugh and ended up finishing our drink in the trees in a nearby estate, the classy way. Hahaha.
It was great fun altogether though, when you're with great people who cares if you're in a house or a bush? I haven't been feeling the best lately so i thought maybe going out wasn't such a good idea but I ended up having a really great time and hanging out with awesome people.
Then in true night out style we finished off with a trip to Tesco to buy some Rainbow Drops, Skittles, 7up and popcorn which we had for breakfast, of course.

Sorry there is no pictures to go with this post as of yet, they were all taken on Samira's camera and she forgot to bring her camera lead to my house, where we're staying now. I'll get some up soon though.

Peace and looooooove,
Aoife ♥

there is a light that never goes out

Hello my dearests,
Raya the Rebel is back in School! Came back yesterday afternoon, getting dirty looks from all the teachers and curious ones from the students today. Sounds so much cooler when you say she got suspended for drinking tea.
Only 3 days till midterm break, i am so excited!
Going to fly home Friday morning and stay there for a week and be back for Halloween in Dublin. I really want to be a Bunny for Halloween, like the ones in Mean Girls. So everyone is goint to say: "You're a slut?!" and then I'll say:"I am a mouse, DUH!" Lovee, Benny

Hello everyone its raya on bennys laptop. i was supposed to blog yesterday but...well....yeah...sorry im making up for it now just like i promised myself! school's been weird since i came back all the looks off the teachers and everyone coming up to me asking what the suspension was for. i'm THE biggest reb at school at the moment. its the last week of school before midterm so everyones planning like mad for the holidays. i'm off to wales for a while so i'll just drown myself in tea and eat apple crumble, watch breakfast at tiffanys. (i love you audrey) oh and go charity shop shopping because the town where my mum lives is so small and there's no proper shops. im serious here. no proper clothes shops. (thankfully im pretty much always here in dublin) but it does force me to be creative and i find some great old people jumpers and granny bags and hats and blazers and old records and pretty jam jars and just great stuff!
for halloween im in a bit of dillema when it comes to costumes. im stuck between pikatchu and minnie mouse. i have the pickatchu suit already but i dont want to turn up with benny and aoife looking all sexy in their cat and bunny costumes and i'm there in a big yellow suit...
minnie mouse it is!

i think if you looked inside my head it would be like looking under the sea. everything just floats around. heres a bit of an insight as to whats going on in the depths of my mind

why do you just not bother; glitter; polka dots; which type of milk tastes best with yorkshire tea; tire swings; the mountain im going to climb when i get to wales; why i cant have a kettle as a boyfriend; how much i miss my cat Morrisey (after the amazing frontman of the smiths)  and finally how much i love the movie JUNO.
need to watch it. soon.

i hope you all have a great halloween and tryyyyy to be creative with your costumes. EVERYONE goes to primark and buys a load of fluro stuff.

love always, RAYA

a sunday smile

Hi my lovelies, it's Raya reporting from what's sure to be another interesting sunday from the boarding house. I think I can safely say that Aoife and Benny are by far the most interesting roomates to live with and we share a mutual love of tea.
My tea choice these past few weeks has been Yorkshire which is so lovely on a sunday morning when all you want to do is live underneath your bedcovers.

While Aoife and I are stuck here in rainy Ireland, Benny is on holiday with her family in Crete, getting a tan and sipping cocktails by the sea...tan is overrated anyway. I've been living off cheese toasties recently due to the lack of edible food here in the boarding house. I think I might just eat at least three a day. And a cup of tea (or two) with each!
I'm off to the seaside this afternoon with a friend so I'll put up some pictures when I get back; but until then I've been surfing http://www.modcloth.com/ (if you love all things quirky and retro check it out) and I'm thinking of ordering these beauts!

I'll probably end up spending all of this months allowence on this stuff but I can live with pot noodles and cheap tea until then if I can have these!

Love always..

We might die from medication but we sure killed all the pain

Hello everyone, it's Raya. As Aoife mentioned in her last post the weekend was a great one! Oktoberfest was absolutely amazing and we managed to get into the main tent nice and early so we missed the long lines and the ID checks. We ''raved it up'' and drank far too much but it was definatly a good'un.

We also stopped by a house party (Aoife put up that minging picture of me!) and that was so great aswell. We ended the night at tesco; where all good nights should end and stocked up on cheap chocolate and jelly snakes.

Incase you're wondering who we are, I'll explain. This blog is run by me and two other lovely ladies.

Aoife (pronounced ee-fah for those of you who are unfamiliar to irish vocab) who has the largest and lovely-ist collection of crazy grandad jumpers

Benny who's on holiday in Crete at the moment but will be back soon. Her heart has been stolen by a pair of vintage cowboy boots

And myself. Raya. (pronounced ray to rhyme with cry and ah. so cry-ah//ray-ah)

That's it for now my lovelies. Love always.

We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen

This is us at a party last weekend (the blonde third from the left is our friend Daisy). I look...i don't even know, but oh well. It was such a fun weekend, that night we went to Oktoberfest:

Me busting some moves.
Huge glasses of beer were a tenner but if you brought the glass back you got a fiver back, so we may or may not have stolen a few peoples' glasses and cashed them in...Raya turned out to be a bit of a pro at stealing peoples' beer aswell. At one point Benny took this woman's glass and when the woman realised she started freaking out so Raya and i just kind of ran away. It was an amazing atmosphere, there was a German band and everyone was dancing and shouting and just seemed to be having a great time. I wish every day was Oktoberfest!

They had this amaaazing Haribo stand but it was so expensive, Raya's bag came up to like 9 euro so she just left it there

Lack of Haribo sadness.

Such a great weekend, but I swear I haven't had a proper sleep since :P I'm so tired tonight so I think it's the past week catching up with me.

I love that one (':

Aaaaand finally, us with Samira.
I'm at home but i left my laptop along with my camera cable in school, so i promise we will post more interesting stuff during the week!
Aoife ♥
