Lets chill in the Bathtub

Urban Outfitters...I love that Picture.

a golden 2011

So, like Aoife said. Christmas is over and for me that means I have to think about what to do/wear/stay on New Year’s Eve. I and lots of my friends are invited to a big New Year’s party with the Theme: Gold. Gooold….to be honest except from a necklace and a few bracelets I don’t own anything in Gold.so I started looking in various Online Shops, problem only that in Germany there are only half of the Shops that you would find in Dublin, no Topshop, River Island, Miss Selfridge…it is a miracle that I survived here for all those years.  So in the end I decided for this dress by Scarlett Johansson for Mango:

Along with some of my Jewelery and High Heels it looks good, not great, but at least I don’t have to go in a black dress and wrap golden paper around me, like my parents suggested. No Thank you.
In all the Party is 3 days long, starting tomorrow with drinks and hanging out in a bar, than New Years Eve and than a big Hangover Breakfast on the 1st of January. So now I just have to think about what to wear on the other 2 Days….I have no Idea.
Today I decided to do a Detox Day like me and Aoife did at the end of summer. Do some Face and Hair Mask (Never ever make your own hair mask, Trust me…Aoife and me had some really bad experience…especially with Banana Hair masks) and drink lots and lots of Green Tea.

Good girls go bad because bad boys don't treat them right

Christmas, as we know it, is over. At least that's how it feels. Tomorrow i'm heading to Dublin to see my friends and escape cabin fever. I'm on a no sugar diet so i plan on dispersing my selection box among the masses. I hope you all got what you wanted for Christmas, I haven't gotten anything yet. I've spent the last few lonely nights lurking the internet, finding lots of pretty pictures.
Here you go

time to get low. do the tootsie roll

So christmas is nearing us and the family fights are getting worse and the shopping centres are getting more crowded and you're on the verge of hooking up with that guy who last time you saw, you insisted was an absolute creeper. Ahh keeping that ever-important holiday spirit alive. To deal with the following, I (as an expert in these matters) recommend you a) turn up your local christmas radio station as loud as possible to block out the fights, it also helps to sing too. B) go retro. Stay away from primark and river island and buy everyone a hidden treasure from oxfam (helps poor people too!) C) aovid those festive drinks at all costs, or just fuck it and fuck him. Use a condom though, those christmas love-babies are never pretty.
In other news:
My family have decided to have a vegitarian christmas, beans and rice galore. I think my mum has had one too many brandys in front of the fire..
I've been completely smitten with my family's tv and am amazed with all the channels available, therefore havnt read anything other than the occaisional article called something like "ten best ways to have an orgasm for the over 40s" in magazines my aunt leaves lying around. Disturbing.
Have gobbled numerous christmas chocolates/muffins/fairy cakes/biscuits. I can feel my arteries clogging. Well vif they're presents i can really turn them down now can i?

Hope your holidays arent as frazzeling as mine!
Love always, raya

P.s: i think ive gone insane. I was talking to my sisters toy unicorn today.

Chillboy

Feeling blue? Put on your pyjamas, light some candles and plug in some fairy lights, sip some herbal tea and just chill.
It's the best, cherry-scented candles and Lime Blossom tea and internet stalking really helped me relax, i feel great.
Fucking hippy.

Peace and love,
Aoife ♥

Stone fox

It's almost Christmas and right now i'm concentrating all my energy on being jolly and keeping warm. It's quite a task. Boarding school kicked us all out into the snow and Benny's flight got cancelled, i'm sure Dublin Airport do a lovely Christmas dinner...i'm joking, i'm praying to Buddah that Benny gets a flight home as soon as possible to have a lovely German Christmas, Lederhosen and all.
It's snowing so hard here, i hope it's snowing wherever you are! But this means i have no access to shops so it looks like you're getting hand-made Christmas cards from me, guys! Haha, but seriously i haven't bought anything for my family yet...Oh well. They buy me an artificial tree, this is what they get.

During the cold weather i've been busying myself with doing precisely fuck all!
Nah, really i have watched a few excellent films,
The Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind, The Virgin Suicides and Requiem For a Dream.
Now i know none of them are exactly Christmassy but hey, i wasn't feeling too festive, ok?

I also saw Ballet Shoes starring Emma Watson...it's quite sweet and uplifting, and anything with Emma automatically grabs my attention, but i have to say the ending leaves a lot to be desired. Still, it's got some beautiful images and of course the beautiful Ms Watson.

Oh, isn't she just the loveliest thing? I admire her so much.

Peace and love
Aoife.

ALCHEMY

I found out the meaning of the word 'quixotic' this was nice. I drank ginger tea, this was also nice. But the best was kitchen-dancing to Asleep by The Smiths with someone special, and having a meaningful conversation and just feeling like maybe the world can be beautiful. I havn't felt like this in a long time; but i think that maybe i can be properly happy. I hope so anyway, otherwise im fucked! i made a list of things i like about life, so i could remember the important things that keep me going. I wrote down things like: people that dont give up on me, people i love, people that love me, old friends, loud music, slow songs, big smiles, glitter and feathers!
Did some christmas present shopping on etsy.com modcloth.com and good old ebay. Ahhh what a lifesaver. Hope the cold hasnt been getting to you too much, im sitting here practically on top of the radiator with a marathon of 'teen mom' on tv. I love classy telly. And if i ever get pregnant im going to bake my mum a biscuit and ice "im preg" on it. Then i'll call my baby Luna if its a girl or Sundance if its a boy and live in a rainbow van and make jewellery and grow weed and tea.
To top the day off i wrote a letter to a newspaper expressing my frustration with the Fairy Liquid adverts on tv and how they only show women doing the washing up. Sexist fuckers.

Five good things about today
1. Quixotic
2. Being on happy-high from yesterday
3. Thinking of some good present ideas
4. Aquired two boarding school essentials: noodles and deoderant
5. Happy friends

The future's looking bright, tonight.

Don't cry, life's a miracle.

With more love that you can imagine,
Aoife ♥
Sometimes; I wonder.

Fuck poetry let's party

Hello my ducklings.
Snow snow snow. All snow and no school makes Aoife happy.
Last week i went to the Kat Von D book signing and i met her and gave her a hug and she signed my Beethoven tape and said it was soo rad and that she was going to copy it and then i died. Great day.
So anyways, life is sweet at the moment.
I think my boobs are getting bigger. This is bad.

Also, this. This is bad.

What is it that pretty girls do?

I asked aoife that today.
Aoife: ermmm what do you mean...
Raya: when they look in the mirror, do you think they're all like "ohhhh look at me im so pretty wowwww''
Aoife: and then what do they do?
Raya: pretty girl things. like.....put on lip gloss or something

we're playing magnetic poetry now and it's looking a bit like this:
murmur about one another
as if love were like winter

the best soundtrack to frosty sundays with magnetic poetry is the smiths. we've been spreading the love for the smiths around our school a bit so hopefully we can take over the world with that; maybe.
i also decided to never cut my hair. hmm
we'll be heading back to boarding house this evening for some hot tea and a chat

love always, raya and aoife

this is the first time i've seen snow. ever. for real. wow. i'm just amazed. i've been eating it off aoife's windowsill all day and it really does make a lovely post-breakfast snack. apart from being snowed in; i have a mountain of essays to write for teachers who really should fuck off and eat some cock cheese or something.
all rants aside i am fully aware that we've been shitty bloggers this past week and a half and although the pictures are lovely, they don't exactly compensate for real writing now do they? i have four major esssays to work on today consisting of:
research on the life of Sophocles for classical studies
an essay on the use of the irish harp in gealic ireland for music
how stalin came to power for history
and a major look at about 10000 Sylvia Plath's poems.
i've sort of made a dent in the Sophocles essay but i've decided to indulge in a break consiting of mindless facebook stalking; blogging natuellment; and listening to bon iver.
the only thing that just takes the biscuit are ALL THE FUCKING PEOPLE WHO POST STATUS' LIKE
''omg snow!!! xxxxx"
yes.
we know.
we have windows too, darling.
we can see the 'effing snow.
